Wooden Planks at Bantay Bell Tower

I took a day to roam around the city of Vigan and went to the usual spots of interest, one of them is the Bantay bell tower just outside of Vigan, Bantay is a term that means to "guard", it's a remarkable structure on a top of a mound and when you climb up you see an unobstructed view of the surroundings, perfect for the watchman of olden times... It is an old structure and the steps are made of thick wooden planks, I noticed the vandalism on it and I found it interesting so I took a photo.

Pasig City is located on the east side of the Metro Manila, known for having the same name as the river that winds by the metropolis, despite the city being underdeveloped compared to it's cousins in the metro this place bustles with life and personality... here I took a short walk.

When you get to a place you want to photograph, the first thing you should do is not to shoot... but instead, spend a few minutes absorbing the place, get the know the scenery or the people, a little while later you'll find more interesting stuff and details pop up right from under the surface :)

Little Surprises Up There

I went on a walk in Quiapo with some of the Purpose Driven Photography students for some street shooting fun and found a lot of interesting shots along the way, we gave ourselves topics to look for and one of those topics was to look for the charm of the city, Quiapo being an old part of Manila gave us some challenge because if the chaotic hustle and bustle nature of the place, but even with that, all it takes is to look up and find some old treasures untouched, really, sometimes all it takes is to just look up...
